I'm married to Sarah and have four children; Leah, Hannah, Esther and Timothy.  I work for a software company near Bristol as a principal support consultant.  My main interests are running and cooking Chinese food (not at the same time!)  I came to the UK from Hong Kong when I was 14.

Bob Clatworthy

Hi, I’m Bob Clatworthy.  I joined Southfield with my wife Chris on our marriage in 1967.  There was a need for Sunday school teachers and also very early on, for a leader for the teenage youth club.  So we were both immersed in the work of the Church from the start.  We have been blessed with two daughters, Helen now living in London, and Rachel still at Southfield with her family.  The majority of our time has been spent working with children and youth, but in 1998 I was invited to join the leadership team, and have been there ever since.  My desire is to see the Church family continue to grow as we reach out into our immediate neighbourhood.  We want to see God moving in all our lives.  It is a pleasure to work with Kin, my fellow leader and the rest of the Fellowship.

Our Vision

Our desire is to share the love of Jesus with one another and to be obedient to Him in our daily walk. We want to know more of His love for us and to grow more like Him, so that we will be able to share and demonstrate that love with others in our community. We are here because God has placed us here and we want to serve our community in any way that honours Him. Hence our Mission Statement for 2012 reads "To build the body of Christ, to prepare us for His return, to proclaim and demonstrate His love in justice and kindness to our neighbouring community"

Leadership Support Team

The leaders of the Church meet on a regular basis with the Leadership Support Team (LST).  This is a group of church members, including leaders of the Home Care Groups, whose role it is to support, advise and share in the organisation of day to day church activities.

The current members of the LST are Martin Birch, Ed Brown, Philip Carr, David Jones and Richard Worthington.
